Work impacts
- Traffic detours: will be required near the work zones and within the Northshore Brisbane precinct. For your safety, please follow signage and traffic control directions. During March temporary traffic detours will also be implemented:
- to support the demolition of K Shed. A ‘general exclusion zone’ involving a pedestrian detour across MacArthur Avenue will be implemented near the work area.
- to carry out utilities’ investigations and installation activities on Wharf Street and intermittently on MacArthur Avenue, near Bincote Street, involving vehicle, pedestrian and cyclist detours.
- Noise, dust and vibration: these works will generate noise, dust and vibrations. Measures will be in place to monitor and manage noise, dust and vibrations.
- Increased activities: there will be an increase in workforce and construction vehicle movements around the work areas. Equipment in use will involve but not be limited to excavators, haulage vehicles, small hand tools, concrete saws, generators, concrete trucks and pumps, water trucks and misting cannons, skid steers and vac trucks.
- Utilities and services: construction activities may temporarily impact supply of utilities and services. We will provide advance written notification, at least seven (7) days prior to service disruption, to properties where utilities or services will be impacted.
Throughout construction, we will continue to provide notifications of upcoming work, monitor our activities, and adjust our controls where needed.
