Over the coming weeks activity on the Yeronga Priority Development Area (PDA) site will begin ramping up, with the first stage of development; the construction of a permanent new home for the Yeronga Community Centre.

The contractor appointed to build the new centre – Bryant Constructions – mobilised on site in early February with the set up their site office with primary access to the site off Villa Street.

Construction materials will be delivered to the site from late February, with construction commencing before the end of February. Construction of the Yeronga Community Centre is currently expected to be completed later this year.

The initial stages of construction will include excavation and piling for the foundations of the new centre. All works will be undertaken as per the approved conditions for application DEV2022/1264.
